Yes, We’re Getting an UPGRADE!

All Branches will be closed on Oct. 1st & Oct. 2nd

Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union has been working hard to prepare a complete system upgrade. We are putting in place robust technology to efficiently process the growth we have experienced and scale to additional capacity. Our new processing system will ultimately enhance our already well-regarded member service as our team is equipped with new tools.

Projects of this size do require an adjustment period, and there will be some time when some systems are down.

Below is the schedule for conversion week:

Wednesday, September 30, 2026: We will close at our normal time of 4:00PM. Any pending credits/debits will be posted that day. Please make any mobile and/or online transfers prior to 2:00PM, if necessary. Debit cards will be placed in stand-in mode during the conversion.

Stand-in mode allows you to continue using your card with minimal interruption. During this period, temporary card limits will apply.

  • • Debit cards will be limited to $520 for ATM withdrawals, PIN, and signature-based transactions.
  • • Credit cards will have a $500 cash advance limit.
  • • Credit cards will have a $2,000 purchase limit.

Our system, including mobile and online banking, will be shut down after closing of business in preparation for our conversion.

Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2, 2026:

  • • We will be closed for conversion.
  • • Mobile and online banking will continue to be unavailable.

Saturday, October 3, 2026:

  • • Our main branch will open 9:00AM - 4:00PM.
  • • All other branches will remain closed.
  • • This will be the first day “live” on our new system.
  • • We are anticipating the mobile app and debit cards to be fully functional by this time.

Monday, October 5, 2026:

All branches are open for regular business hours. We will continue to provide updates via monthly statements, email, newsletter, our website, and social media. Please make sure we have your updated contact information on file to ensure you receive timely updates.

Any direct deposit (debit & credit) for October 1st and 2nd that is received by September 30th, will be posted on September 30th. Any direct deposits (debit & credit) that comes in after September 30th, will be posted by October 3rd and 5th.

We’ve upgraded our computer system, and your Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union online banking experience is now better than ever!

Let’s get started. The first time you log in, please use the instructions below. Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to complete your security setup, create a permanent password, and choose a unique username.

First-Time Login Instructions

Username: Your Account Number

Temporary Password: Please type the word LES and the last 4 digits of the Primary Account Holder’s SSN. For Business Accounts please type the word LES and the last 4 digits of the EIN number.

Secure Your Account

  1. Select an image and answer the security questions.
    Answers are case sensitive.
  2. Create a new password.
  3. Create a new username.
    If you would like to keep your account number as your username, please contact us.
